Haven Arts Theatre was founded in 2018 and performed first a Prohibition Theatre in Downtown Houston with their very first Dreamshow: “Come Alive.” Since then we have performed contemporary dance pieces at The Texas Renaissance Festival’s After Dark (After Dark Dancers), and a wide variety of Classical Theatre (Shakespeare and Moliere) and Original or lesser known works. We had the honor of presenting the World Premiere of “Break” by Elizabeth A. M. Keel, and an original Adaptation of The Picture of Dorian Gray by Amy K. Barnes at The Glade Arts Gallery. We’ve performed well known stories, such as Antigone by Jean Anouilh and Murder on the Orient Express by Agatha Christie, as well as lesser known gems such as The Lady Demands Satisfaction by Arthur M. Jolly and Dickens Abridged by Adam Long. Each Spring, we perform a free, outdoor Shakespeare play – this year at Mercer Botanical Gardens.
Haven Arts Theatre is committed to inclusivity (Age, Gender, Race, Ethnicity and Abilities), and providing a safe space for all to create theatre and tell stories.
We would love to have you be a part of our storytelling. If you are interested in volunteering, performing, attending or donating, follow us on Social Media or contact us at info@havenartstheatre.com
